Explore The Different After Interview Strategies

Most of the people might have come across a situation, where they were told that ‘you did not get the job’ after completion of the interview. If you are one such person, you might have had a worse feeling at the time of receiving such kinds of email or letter or phone calls. But, nothing to worry here, you can easily come out of your worse feeling just by following certain wonderful strategy. Let us discuss the steps to be followed in these strategies for getting your job:

Rejection reversal strategy:
If you find that you have received a rejection letter from the company where you attended the interview, do not feel dejected. Rather, you can take this as an opportunity to correct yourself so that you can attend the next interview with more confidence. The steps to be followed under this strategy are:
•    Call the person who has sent the letter and try to talk to the person and get the reason for the rejection. Listen to his answers carefully so that you can understand the areas in which you are lacking behind.
•    If you feel that what was told was correct, take a note of it and thank the person for spending time to answer you.
•    On the other hand, if you feel that the interviewer has made a wrong assumption about your skills, try to explain the person slowly that the assumption is wrong.
•    By using this technique, you might be given the opportunity to work with the organization.
Isolation strategy:
Isolation strategy can be used when the employer has not clearly specified the reason for your rejection. The steps to be followed under this strategy include:
•    Contact the employer and try to get the reason for your rejection.
•    If the employer gives you some reason like you were rejected because of your low grades, ask him whether you would have been selected in case you had obtained good grades. If the answer to this question is positive, you can understand that, the reason given by the employer was true. On the other hand, if he gives some other reason, you can understand that the employer is having some other reason, which he does not desire to share with you.
•    Try to find the real reason behind your rejection and try to change it, if you can and get yourself placed.

Kamikaze strategy:
The kamikaze strategy will be helpful if you are brave enough to turn around the rejection into acceptance particularly when you are rejected at the very early stage of the interview process. The first step is to meet the interviewer and try to explain him that you are really interested in getting placed in their organization. Request them to offer you an opportunity to show your talents.

Second-Place strategy:
If the company tells that you have obtained the second place in the interview. Do not lose hope, try to call the company and keep in touch with them to show that you are interested in getting placed in the organization.

Squeaky Wheel strategy:
When you are caught with an unenthusiastic employer, this technique will be of great use to you. When you are using this technique, you will have to call up the employer frequently and should take up your placement process to the next step.
